How do you like my “Porky’s” pig chip clip? I was originally going to make a felt pig pin, but I thought this was more appropriate. Plus, looking at that pig help keep me from opening up the chips!

As I was cutting out the felt pieces for my little pig I started to think about some of the “R” rated ’80s movies. Compared to the movies that are being released today, these movies are so tame they could probably even be classified as PG-13.
I remember as a kid, I was never allowed to watch Porky’s, Stripes, Caddyshack, or even Desperately Seeking Susan because of the language and/or nudity. Wow, how the times have changed.
Just a few years ago we had NYPD Blue showing naked shower scenes, and now all of the shows on prime time use, pretty much, every dirty word in their dialogue.
I wish we could go back to the time where TV and movies were just a tad dirty. Those were the funny movies and shows. Blatant sex and dirty language, to me, isn’t funny, it’s disgusting and completely unnecessary.
What the movies need are better writers. No more like Seth Rogen, we need more like John Hughes!
