It has been quite some time since I’ve posted on the Yarn Along. I’m looking forward to joining back with weekly or bi-monthly posts.
Reading
This week I am reading Appetite for Reduction by Isa Chandra Moskowitz. One of my 2016 goals is to eat healthier and work toward a vegetarian diet. I found this book at our local yearly library book fair. It is my favorite weekend of the year. I always find such amazing books and for only $1 a piece. Score!
I originally picked it up because of the title, which is totally ’80s. Remember Guns ‘n Roses’ album Appetite for Destruction? The cover also caught my eye, which is something that always draws me toward a book. But once I started flipping though the recipes, I was hooked. I’m in the midst of the 21 Day Fix now, but once that is over I’m going to start trying some of these recipes.
Crocheting
Still working on smaller projects to get me back into the rhythm of crafting again. My little pink rose was super easy and a quick project. I used a little Vanna’s Choice yarn, my favorite, and left a really long tail to sew it somewhere. Still not sure what I’m going to use it for. Maybe an embellishment on a scarf or a pin. So many options!
Love your crochet rose, very pretty
Thanks so much!
