(Posting a day early this week) As I was organizing my kitchen this past weekend I came across my little kiwi potholder that I made last year.
I love this pattern. It is one of my favorite potholders that I’ve crocheted, and as someone who has issues with crocheting in the round I was very pleased at how well it turned out. It was also a really quick crochet project and would make a great last minute gift.
I have decided on my pledge and will blog about it tomorrow along with a new money saving challenge. It is a big one, so if you are struggling with your finances and need a big kick in the pants to get your budget and spending in order this challenge is for you.
I couldn’t resist making this potholder once I found the adorable pattern on the Garnstudio website, so I decided to give it a try. It really turned out cute!
I crocheted the entire potholder with Lily Sugar ‘n Cream cotton yarn. I used white for the center, country green for the middle, and sage green on the outside. I then used a little bit of black for the seeds.
Cotton yarn is really not one of my favorite kinds of yarn, because it tends to split on me while I’m crocheting. But, it is a great yarn for potholders and washcloths as it is very sturdy and easy to wash. It is also inexpensive, which is always a plus in my book!
