By now you have probably realized that I was obsessed with Madonna, as I think almost every girl was in the ’80s. She was so amazing with her songs, videos, and clothing styles, and set the standard for all of the other female singers in the ’80s and later.

Madonna had so many of her clothing styles copied by girls of all ages from her mesh shirts to her platinum blonde hair, but one of my favorites were her pearl bracelets that she wore over her lacy, fingerless gloves.
She was so cool!
Here is a super simple tutorial to make your very own Madonna pearl bracelet.

Materials

pearl beads (You can choose small or large pearl beads.)
wire cutter
round nose pliers
flat nose pliers
Instructions
1. Using wire cutter, clip off 4-1/4 loops of memory wire.
2. With round and flat nose pliers, loop one end into a simple loop. Squeeze loop closed so pearls do not fall off.
3. Thread pearls onto the length of the wire. I used the smaller beads on my bracelet.
4. Bend a simple loop onto the end.
Rock on, Material Girl!

  3. Found your blog on One Pretty Thing. I have to say I was totally sucked in by your blog name – it’s great. And then I saw the “crafting through the 80’s” and now I’m completely hooked!

The bracelet is so perfect – very evocative of that style.
