A new year and a new challenge.

One of my main goals of 2017 is to purge my house of all unwanted and unneeded things. As much as I need want all of my yarn, now is the year to purge my yarn stash. I’d love to cut my stash in half, but I’ll be happy with a couple of my skeins being gone. Well, a little more than a couple of skeins.

Starting today and running until the 31st of December we are going to work on purging our yarn stashes, one skein at a time.

What is it?

The goal of the 17 in 2017 Stashbuster Challenge is to completely use up 17 skeins of yarn from your stash in 2017. Super simple!
You can use any kind of yarn (wool, acrylic, cotton, etc.) and any weight. You can even use half used skeins of yarn. Anything goes! After all, the purpose is to purge your yarn stash and make room for other things, right? 🙂

Where do I sign up?

There is no formal sign up for the challenge. Just start stashbusting today. Feel free to post your progress on your blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc, or leave me a comment telling me you are joining the challenge or when you’ve busted a skein!

  1. I have more unfinished projects than unused yarn, including a baby blanket for a great nephew who is now 14 years old! I'm going to try to finish them up and get them out of the house, probably donating most to charitable organizations. Thanks for the incentive.
