This has been one of the most trying years that I can remember. With losing my job, Drusilla, and most of my finances I have really struggled to find the good in 2017.

But in the midst of this trying season I am reminded of so many things that I am grateful for, most importantly God, my family, and my friends. But even the most insignificant things, as small as they may be, can turn a bad day into a good one.

Today I am grateful for. . .

  1. The smell of fall in the air.
  2. Daphne sleeping on my lap.
  3. The bug that was crawling on my vaulted ceiling made it to the wall and didn’t fall on me!
  4. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Clue, Sixteen Candles, and all of the other ’80s comedies for making me laugh even on the worst of days.
  5. A sale in my Etsy shop.
