I’ve been noticing that many of my emails and comments have been ending up in my spam folder. I wonder if this has to do with all of the spam I have been receiving on my blog. Oh no! If you have emailed me a question recently and haven’t received a response, please feel free to email me again or post a comment. I’ll be sure to post the answer, if I know it. 🙂
I did receive 2 questions last week that I thought I would go ahead and answer here, just in case anyone else was wondering about them too.

Question #1: Where did you get your works in progress bars?
I found the progress bars on Yarn Tomato.
There are several colors you can choose from or you can use an html color code and design your own. That is what I did with mine. I wanted them to match my blog, so I chose the color, added the percentages I wanted (I did mine in 10% increments), and uploaded them to Photobucket.
If you want to know how to add them to your sidebar, take a peek at my Blog Design Series Lesson #4. It should help you out.

Question #2: What is Amigurumi?
According to Wikipedia, “Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals”. I also thought all crochet Amigurumi was done in a spiral single crochet, but maybe I have been mistaken about that (see Little Miss Peanut pattern).
Anyway, that is Amigurumi. A big word that sounds intimidating, but it is really not.
Interested in trying your hand at some Amigurumi? Here are a few easy patterns for you:
Balloons (crochet)
City Mouse (knit)
You can also try my Mome Rath pattern. It is really pretty easy, at least I think so. 🙂
Thanks everyone for the questions. Keep them coming!

  3. That's so cool! Thanks for sharing! I love the mushroom tutorial, they're SO CUTE! I can't figure out how to make my percentage bars look like yours though. I don't like how mine separate.
