I don’t know any of my friends who didn’t have at least one of their birthday parties at McDonalds. It was the place to go. We had a McDonalds right down the street from my house and we would go every week to get a Happy Meal and play on the playground. But it was extra fun was when we went for someone’s birthday.
I just love to look at old pictures of McDonalds. It brings back so many awesome memories.
Remember the outside playground? Oh my gosh! Try sliding down that metal slide in Florida when the temperature outside was 90 and the slide was 100! Way too many times I burned my legs on that thing. But I kept getting back in line to do it again.
And the brown and gold motif? Now this is how I like to remember McDonalds. Reminds me of the good ol’ days. And I think on top of the drink machine are the cookies we could get. Remember those awesome cookies that were in the Happy Meals? They were in the shapes of the McDonalds characters. I miss those days.
Amazingly enough I did find a few McDonalds craft projects. You can make your own McDonalds french fries in perler beads. Need a yarn holder? Why not use an old McCafe cup to store your yarn. Or make yourself or your favorite student an adorable McDonalds school supply kit. I want to make myself one of the french fry phone covers. Too cute!
Wonderful old pictures of the early McD's! I remember the first coming to our area when I was a child. We only went there once, when my aunt took us! My parents weren't too taken by the place back then!
