This project is from late 2017 when my cousin had her first baby. For her baby shower, I whipped up this super cute crocheted ZZZ blanket.
It is crocheted using a single crochet stitch and bulky yarn, so it works up pretty fast, once you get past the ZZZs. It is crocheted bottom up, so the ZZZs and heart are in the beginning and then it is just single crochet until the end. I didn’t add a border because I really didn’t think it needed one.
The one thing I changed was the heart. I didn’t like the way my heart turned out from the pattern, so I crocheted a heart applique and stitched it on top it. It gives it a little something extra. Plus, I think it makes it even cuter!
Want to crochet a ZZZ crocheted baby blanket of your own? Here are the supplies I used:
ZZZ Crochet Baby Blanket
free pattern
AC Moore Stitch Studio Belle yarn: 2 skeins of light grey
Bernat Softee Baby Chunky yarn: Fluffy Cloud White
Clover Crochet Hook, Size N/P/10.0mm
Plastic Yarn Knitting Needle
Crafting with Cat Hair tip: If you want to use a heart applique like I did, just skip the heart in the pattern and use this free heart applique pattern. You can then whipstitch the heart applique onto the blanket.

As much as I love fiber art, I love music even more. Below is a mini mixtape of inspired songs for this project. Maybe one of these songs will help to inspire your project too! You can follow along with all of the crafty mini mixtapes, here.
